Rebekah is a classically trained acupuncturist and East Asian medicine practitioner. She holds a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC ), specializing in post traumatic stress and critical incident stress debriefing.
Rebekah's background includes more than a decade as an ambulance paramedic, an adult educator for 23 years with St John Ambulance teaching paramedic courses, and is also a registered counselor,working with those who suffer from stress and addictions. Rebekah is a passionate public speaker who is engaging and informative when she relates anecdotes of her decades of experience in the health field, her homeless teen years and the social changes she advocates for and works to enact.
Years ago, when her job as a paramedic began affecting her health Rebekah experienced such a powerful healing effect from acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine that she changed to a career in Oriental medicine and since then, her life has never been better. In gratitude and service, Rebekah now dedicates herself to helping others feel good, look good and to build a meaningful life. Rebekah's experiences as a childhood survivor of the streets and foster care system, and as a long time advocate of women's health and empowerment inform her perspective and make her a powerful and empathetic healer.
As part of her lifestyle of health cultivation Rebekah practices daily morning qigong eight brocades and marrow cleansing as well as other techniques taught by Taoist priest, Ken Cohen and the renowned Dr. Steven Aung. Rebekah is a student of martial arts, she is also a Reiki practitioner, trained in the Usui style.
